The realization that we were going into a new millennium made the designers go with this crazy space theme. Other examples include the infamous Kobe 2s and Every Nsync and Backstreet Boys music video ever.

These are photos of Discmans (? Discmen? What is the proper plural?) I found on Wikipedia but they are very close to the models I’ve owned. I didn’t ever own a super vintage one like the D50 or the D25 but I really want a D25. The quality was reportedly superb, the design is awesome and it suits my style. A mint condition model runs almost 250 dollars though
